HWMP manages its activities of Collection, Transportation, Treatment, Storage and Disposal of Hazardous Waste, in such a manner to ensure the Health, Safety and welfare of its employees and others (including visitors,
Contractors, and the public) who may be affected by its activities in conformance with OHSAS - 18001.

HWMP shall ensure that this will be achieved by the following:

  1. by providing a safe premises, plant, equipment and safety system that are safe and do not involve any risk to health.
  2. by providing sufficient instructions, information, training to all employees.
  3. by consulting workmen on measures for ensuring health and safety at work place.
  4. by carrying out a comprehensive risk assessment to develop safe systems and procedures.
  5. by confirming to the relevant legislation and codes of practices of India.

The Laboratory's Quality Policy:

Hyderabad Waste Management Project Laboratory is committed to provide good professional practices and high standard of service by complying with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 : 2005 to the satisfaction of all concerned and to continually improve the effectiveness of the management system while ensuring integrity, confidentiality and impartiality.

This will be achieved by

  • Familiarizing the staff with the policy and procedures for better implementation
  • Employing competent personnel and providing training for continual improvement
  • Adopting the International Standard
  • Ensuring Integrity, confidentiality and impartiality
  • Meeting customer requirements as well as statutory & regulatory requirements.

Quality Objectives:

Management has set the following measurable objectives for the laboratory

  1. Inter laboratory testing and proficiency testing (Z score <2)
  2. To reduce the turn around time on comprehensive analysis year over year
  3. Zero customer complaints on the test reports.
