The Company set up India's first Integrated Hazardous waste management facility under the Public-Private-Partnership model at Hyderabad in the year 1998. The pioneering activity continued with the setting up of India's first Biomedical Waste Management facility at Hyderabad in the year 2000.

As on 31st March 2011, Ramky Enviro operates 14 Hazardous Waste Management facilities handling about a million tons of waste annually, 15 Bio-medical Waste Disposal facilities catering to over 15,000 health care establishments and 2,00,000 hospital beds and over 28 Municipal Solid Waste Management facilities. In addition, the Company is undertaking many other turnkey and O&M projects in the fields of environment and waste management.

The Company is setting up new recycling facilities for e-waste, ferrous and non-ferrous metals recycling, oil, solvents, paper, plastic etc and offers the industry a unique concept "Integrated Environmental Services (IES)" under which all services required under environmental services and waste management are provided on a one-stop-shop basis. This concept is to enable organizations to concentrate on their core competencies and hand over to Ramky, the issues connected with waste management and environmental compliance.

All of REEL's facilities are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025 and OSHAS 18001 certified, while our laboratories are accredited by NABL and MoEF.

In order to develop its competencies, Ramky has established state-of-the-art Research and Development at its laboratories. These centers of excellence also render Analytical and Environmental Monitoring support to industries.

Ramky Enviro has won the Frost & Sullivan Excellence Awards for the "Best Company of the Year" for "Market Leadership in Industrial Hazardous Waste Management and Bio-medical Waste Management" two years in a row - 2009 and 2010.
